MOH Hands of Hope Community Event: Saturday, April 29, 2017, Noon - 4 pm
(Rain Date: Sunday, April 30th)
Location: Mother of Hope Camp, 1589 Putnam Pike (Rte. 44) Chepachet, RI 02814
All are invited to come out to Mother of Hope Camp to take part in many of the fun and creative workshops & demonstrations as well as opportunities for service to benefit community agencies as well as the environment! Take part in craft & cooking demonstrations, help to clear hiking trails, build a community garden, meet a MOH Camp therapy dog, or take part in a nature scavenger hunt! Upon arrival, guests will be provided with a schedule of a variety of activities and locations from which to choose and then may head off in the direction of their choice. Dress in comfortable and casual clothing and bring rakes, shovels, & work gloves if you plan to assist with trail clearing or garden building. Minors are welcome to attend under the supervision of the adults with whom they arrive.
Admission: Non-perishable food donations for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry
All activities, workshops, & demonstrations are free of charge. FREE WILL DONATIONS for various community agencies will be associated with each of the activities and will kindly be accepted.
MOH Open House: Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1-4 pm
Come tour the beautiful grounds at Mother of Hope Camp in Chepachet, RI to learn about all that is offered in our Summer Day Camp program for children 5-12 years-of-age. Our friendly & professional staff will be available to answer questions, engage visitors in some typical camp activities, explain the variety of MOH Camp programs & activities, and assist families with registration.
MOH Camp Picnic: Sunday, July 9, 2017 from Noon- 4 pm
Families, Friends, & Supporters of MOH Camp are invited for a day of fun & sun! Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day relaxing by the beachfront, listening to music in MOH's new amphitheater, taking part in an archery demonstration, hiking the beautiful trails, or even working on your team-building skills while trying your hand on Mother of Hope Camp's low elements ropes course!
The MOH Camp Picnic begins at 12 noon with Mass held in MOH Camp's St. Augustine Chapel.
Maria Day at MOH Camp: Saturday, September 9, 2017 from Noon - 4pm
Family, Friends, & Supporters are invited to celebrate Maria Day at Mother of Hope Camp in support of the Maria Fund, named in honor of the former Director, to help fund programming at Mother of Hope Camp for children in need.The day will be filled with games, activities, demonstrations, trail hiking, a silent auction, and live entertainment.
Admission: Donation to the Maria Fund $5.00 for children ages 2-12 & senior citizens
$10.00 for students & adults
